The furniture fair/Salone del Mobile is probably the most important event in the world related to design, light and furniture. And not only is this a fair outside the center of Milan, but the whole city houses events and exhibitions in different areas around the beautiful city.
Some of us went down for 3 days, and we had a great time. We probably walked 3 miles a day (Norwegian miles 10km=1mile), talked to 50 new suppliers, went to the coolest venues we have ever seen and spent 1 day in the Ventura Lambrate District. This is where creativity is less conventional and more surreal.
On the fair itself, we had one mission. We wanted to find new suppliers, see different designs and ways to use materials. What an impressive trip we have had!
Some of the most amazing places we visited were Moooi & Paola Lenti’s venues in the city. We were also so fortunate to have a whole evening with Jotun who took us to an old airplane factory where they arranged a dinner party with lots of entertainment. We also attended IKEA Festival in Lambrate which was fun and inspiring. Wish we could have stayed longer. To be part of the spring in Milan, was also very nice. But no place like home, especially at this time of year. Happy Easter to all of you!
